Bendethera is in the Deua National Park in Southern New South Wales, the nearest town is Moruya. It is 4WD access only, either via the Bendethera, Mericumbene or Dampier Mountain Fire Trails, the latter two, however, are not suitable at all for camper trailers. There are numerous areas to camp, all of which have river crossings. It is one way in and out as the trail dead ends at the head of the valley.
