It would be fair to say that Pebbly Beach has received a lot of glowing press in recent years, so much that its secret is probably out. It’s less that an hour north of Coffs, and at night if you head onto the beach past the headland you can actually see the glow of Coffs lights to the south. You can get to within 5km’s of it via rough dirt road, then a 4WD is only needed to drive onto the beach and to cross a tidal creek (at low tide only) and you are there. But you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere.
It is a well maintained campground that gives some privacy if it is not overly full. It offers a lovely beach that is fairly sheltered and also the creek which is wonderful to swim in and also can afford good fishing if conditions are right.
