We have been wanting to do the Darling River Run for a while and decided to tackle it from north to south starting at Bourke. A bit to see in Bourke but wanting to be in the bush we had read about Gundabooka National Park and it by the sound of it, had a few things to offer. Able to knock off the distance in a leisurely easy days drive ticked the box. It’s a recently designated National Park so the facilities and camping were top notch. There is some sparse scenary that is beautiful, aboriginal rock art and the great walk to the top of Mt Gundabooka to take that vastness all in. Definitely want to revisit this one again.
